Joseph Leonard Pearman, 65, Watauga passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 7, 2018 in Morristown. A native of Gary, Indiana, he was a son of the late Robert & Beatriz Skeivaski Pearman. He had lived in Carter County for several years. He served in the United States Marine during the Vietnam Era. He was an Auto Mechanic. He was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: David Feinstein.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years: Karen Kiser Pearman. Four Sons: Jason (Ashlee), Matthew (Katie), Joseph (Autumn), and Bob Pearman.  One Daughter: Staci Pearman. Five Granddaughters: Kenzee, Hannah, Hailey, Ariella and Gabriela. Four Grandsons: Ethan, Avery, Billy & Kyle. One Great Grandson: Hayden. Two Brothers: Aaron Feinstein of Hawaii, John (Terry) Pearman of Indiana.  Four Sisters: Sue (Dan) Zielinski of Indiana, Anna (Dale) Pearman of California, Mary Pearman, New Mexico and Carmen Pearman of Indiana. Also, survived by a special sister-in-law, Michele Feinstein.  Several Nieces & Nephews.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the J. Fred Colbaugh Family Cemetery with Pastor Randy Hensley officiating.  Burial will follow the service. Following the Graveside Service the family will receive friends at the home of Jason Pearman, 162 High Tower Road, Elizabethton. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday will be: Aaron Clark, Larry Price, II, Seth Kiser, Anthony Campbell, Mike Kiser, Tom McLaughlin, Robert Kiser and Kenny Grindstaff. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.
