First Presbyterian
The congregation of First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will celebrate Epiphany Sunday at the 11 a.m. service. The service will reflect on some of our favorite Christmas hymns. “We will do a lot of singing and learn the story behind the hymns we love, including We Three Kinds of Orient Are, Silent Night, and Once in Royal David’s City,” said Pastor Brian Wyatt.
An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and Yoga from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday.
The church is located at 119 W. F St.

Oak Street
Oak Street Baptist Church will host a blood drive for the American Red Cross on Monday, Jan. 14, from 1:30 to 6 p.m. in the Activity Center.
The January bloodmobile coincides with one of the most difficult times to maintain a sufficient blood supply for patients. Busy holiday schedules, extreme winter weather and seasonal illnesses often impact donor turnout this time of year.
A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
The church is located at 804 Oak St.
