Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday between 7 and 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.
The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy both the food and fellowship.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will continue the sermon series “Questions God Asks” Sunday at the morning worship service, which begins at 9:45 a.m.
David Mills will have the communion meditation and Melanie Klaus will read scripture. Ardith Sheffield will present special music.
The Sunday evening service will begin at 6 o’clock with Janie Broyles as worship leader. The youth and GO KIDS will meet in the sanctuary with their parents.
Tuesday, the Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet at Valley Forge Christian Church at 7 p.m.
Bible Study will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m.

CCCMF meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Valley Forge Christian Church. Scott Fisher will be the guest speaker.
Following the preaching and worship service, there will be a time of fellowship.

First Presbyterian
The Rev. Dr. Matt Fry is guest speaker for the Sunday morning worship service Jan. 13 at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon is titled “My Heroes Are All Named Brian.”
The service begins at 11 a.m. An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursday with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon; Exercise Class from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and yoga from 10 a.m. to noon Friday.
The church is located at 119 W. F St. Dr. Brian Wyatt is pastor.

First United Methodist
The sermon “Overflowing Baptism” will be presented Sunday at the morning worship service at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton, by Pastor Raymond Amos, Sr. The sermon is based on Acts 8: 14-17.
The service begins at 9:55 a.m. after which Sunday School will be held at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. followed by the Senior High Ministries from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Also, Wednesday Night Life Lessons will be held at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
