Unaka Baptist
An All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry will be held this evening at Unaka Baptist Church from 5 to 7 p.m. Chicken is also available for those who prefer it over fish.
All are welcome.
Brown’s Chapel
Brown’s Chapel AME Zion Church will celebrate Martin Luther King Day with a special service Sunday at 3 p.m.
The service will feature special speaker Dr. Terence Hicks, accomplished author/editor, award-winning university dean, and an experienced methodologist-statistician.
The pastor, the Rev. Jeanette G. Clark, invites the public to attend.
First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will continue his sermon series on “Questions God Asks” at the Sunday morning worship service Jan. 20 at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. The service begins at 9:45 a.m.
Randy Tadlock will have the communion meditation and Lorrie Case will read the morning scripture. Melanie Klaus will have special music.
The Sunday evening worship service will begin at 6 p.m. with Janet Faries as worship leader. The Youth and Go Kids will meet in their selected classrooms.
Church offices will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Day.
Bible study will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m.

First Presbyterian
The pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt, will preach Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon will be titled “The Path of the Righteous” based on the scripture, Isa. 42: 1-9.
An Education Hour for all ages will be at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include: Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon; Exercise Class from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and yoga from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday.
First Presbyterian is located at 119 W. F St., and all are welcome.
