The TLC Community Center, located at 145 Judge Don Lewis Blvd., will celebrate 19 years of operation Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
A time of special prayer will be held for the Center and for God to grant vision and understanding against abortion. The center’s director is Angie Odom.
Currently, the center provides help to mothers who are in need of assistance when it comes to fulfilling the needs of their children and also plays a role in keeping the number of abortions down in Carter County and Elizabethton.
In addition to being a crisis pregnancy center, the TLC Center has expanded to include a summer meal program for children and works with Food For the Multitude in their Saturday meal distribution program.
Through the years they have started a number of programs such as feeding children meals in the summer and working with food for the multitude helping distribute food items on Saturdays.
The celebration Saturday will also include a time of food and fellowship with visitors, friends, past clients and children.
