Florence Bell Price Odom, 93, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019. She was the daughter of the late John Hartley and Sylvania Price Love. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Arnold Odom; son, Thomas Gordon Odom; an infant son, James McGiness; and siblings, Joe Love and Margie Hopkins.
Florence was of the Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. She enjoyed selling and giving vegetables to her friends. Florence also enjoyed buying, giving away and selling cookbooks and making quilts to give away.
Florence leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Lynette Gale Odom of Elizabethton; a son, Adrian Daniel Odom and wife Kim of West Columbia, S.C.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Rev. Buddy and Liz Street of Hampton.
The graveside service for Florence Bell Price Odom will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 7, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Street officiating. Everyone wishing to attend will meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Thursday. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers should direct their gifts to the Building Fund of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church, 108 Pleasant Beach Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
