Jon Franklin Clark

Jon Franklin Clark, 56, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center. Jon was born in Muskegon, Mich., to Franklin Delano Roosevelt Clark and Margaret Mae Miller Clark of Muskegon.
Jon was a postmaster for the Fall Branch Post Office and was a United States Navy veteran. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Johnson City. Jon enjoyed spending time with his family, biking, hiking, camping and riding his motorcycle.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Wendy Stewart Clark, of the home; three sons, Jon Michael Clark, Stewart Franklin Clark and wife Sarah Ann Zywica Clark and Nathaniel Ray Clark, all of Elizabethton; one daughter, Brittany Mae Clark Sandidge and husband Michael Scott Sandidge of Gray; one granddaughter, Mallory Leann Clark; one brother, William “Bill” Robert Clark of Muskegon; one sister, Cynthia Joy Nelson of Muskegon; and two nieces, Kate Durbin and Kara Nelson.
A service to honor the life of Jon Franklin Clark will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 17, at St. John’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Canon SuzeAnne Silla officiating. Music will be provided by the church and Jon K. Shell, bagpiper, will also assist. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
