Lynn Valley Baptist
Sacred Harmony will be in concert Sunday at the 6 p.m. worship service at Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
Everyone is invited.

Upper Gap Creek
The Sounds of Victory will sing at Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Sunday. A love offering will be received.
Following the service, lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.
There will be no evening service.

New Faith Zion Center
Friend’s Day will be celebrated Sunday at the New Faith Zion Center, 1904 Jamestown Road, Johnson City.
Following the morning service, which begins at 11 a.m., lunch will be served. At 3:30 p.m. Powerful Praise will be featured in concert along with the Rev. Woody Scott from Castlewood, Va.
The pastor, the Rev. Ernest E. Widby, Sr., invites all to attend.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will continue his sermon series “RESCUE, How Christ Rescued Us” at the morning service Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton.
The service will begin at 9:45 a.m. with David Mills leading worship. Gary White will have the communion meditation and Melanie Klaus will read scripture. Special music will be presented by John and Mary Smith.
The Sunday evening service will begin at 6 p.m.
Bible study for all ages will be Wednesday at 6 p.m., after which choir practice will be held.

First United Methodist
“I’m Living The New Life” is the sermon theme for the morning service Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The sermon is based on II Cor. 5: 16-21 and will be presented by the pastor, the Rev. Raymond Amos, Sr.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. followed by the Senior High Ministries from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Also, Life Lessons will be taught at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the fellowship hall.

Kevin Spencer will sing at the 11 a.m. worship Sunday, April 7, at Poplar Grove Baptist Church.

Area Singspiration
The Area Singspiration, sponsored by the Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship, will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at Lower Shell Creek Christian Church. The service will feature great old hymn medleys and special music from area congregations.
The theme of the service is “With All My Heart,’ and John H. Smith is the worship planner. Accompanists are Scott Reynolds and Ray Don Markland.

St. John Free Will
A benefit singing will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at St. John Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, for a family in need.
The service will feature different individuals and groups.

Roan Street Free Will
Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have a benefit dinner and singing Saturday, April 6, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The dinner will consist of soupbeans or corndogs with slaw, potatoes, mac-n-cheese, cornbread, dessert and drink. The cost is children, 5 to 11, $4; and ages 12 and up, $6. Carryouts will also be available.
The song service will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature Joel Crisp, Bobby Woods, Jr. and Wayne Lyons, Sr. Everyone is invited.

Revival will be held April 10-14 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Elizabethton.

Burbank Free Will
Burbank Free Will Baptist Church will present the Easter drama “He Is Risen” Saturday, April 6, at 7 p.m. and again Sunday, April 7, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The church is located on Highway 143 one mile above Roan Mountain State Park.

First Presbyterian
Dr. Brian Wyatt, pastor, will preach Sunday at the morning worship service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon is titled “Seeking Divinity” and is based on Phil: 2 1-13.
The service will begin at 11 a.m. An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and yoga from 10 a.m. to noon Friday.

Willow Springs
Willow Springs Baptist Church will have a 70th anniversary celebration Sunday, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The Rev. Jack Roddy will bring the message after which a fellowship meal will be enjoyed. There will be no evening service.

Valley Forge Free Will
A groundbreaking service will be held Sunday for “The Forge,” a multi-purpose building used for people connecting together in worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and ministry.
This special service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary and will move outside to the building site for a “perimeter prayer” and actual groundbreaking ceremony.
Recovery Soldiers will be guests Sunday at the 6 p.m. service. A love offering will be received for the ministry.
