Loretta Bowers and the group “Lifted” will perform Saturday at 6 p.m. at Borderview Christian Church in a fundraiser extravaganza for ARM.
In addition to Bowers, the group “Lifted” also includes musicians, Fred Goodwin, Tony Rominger and Rusty Melton.
Also featured at the fundraiser will be the ETSU Mandolin Orchestra, which performs as a function of the ETSU Bluegrass program. The ETSU Mandolin Orchestra is a class and musical group that performs across the area to celebrate the students’ hard work throughout the semester and to share good music. The instruments played by the group include the upright bass, mandocello, mandola, mandolin and guitars.
The concert is free, however, a love offering will be received at the concert to assist with the needs of the food pantry.
Assistance and Resource Ministry has been serving Carter Countians in need of food and clothing for the last 25 years. ARM serves 500 to 600 families each month.
Borderview Christian is located at 1338 Bristol Highway.
