Special music will be proved by Kevin Spencer at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday at Poplar Grove Baptist Church, Highway 91, Stoney Creek.
Spencer is a Southern gospel singer, who began singing with his family, The Spencers, when he was three years old. He began his own group, Kevin Spencer and Friends, in 1992, and more recently has been singing as a soloist.
In addition to singing, Spencer owns and operates the Some Dawning Music Co. Int’l, Inc., which is a company that includes recording, songwriting, promoting, and producing of southern gospel music.
Spencer’s concerts include a special tribute to the late great Rusty Goodman, including songs from a tribute CD, including: Who Am I, Leavin’ On My Mind, Look For Me, and I Wouldn’t Take Nothing for My Journey Now, as well as fan favorites: The Blood Is Still There, If The Rapture Was Yesterday, and So Much to Thank Him For.
Spencer currently performs at approximately 260 concerts per year.
