Joshua Hyatt, a senior at Happy Valley High School, signed a letter of intent to play football at Brevard College in NC on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Hyatt played outside linebacker and recorded nearly 100 tackles in his senior year alone. He also made numerous dynamic plays on offense as a wide receiver and was named Mountain East All-conference selection in 2017 and 2018. Hyatt will join HV teammate Dakota Cochran at Brevard.

The Brevard College Tornadoes went 4-6 overall and 3-4 in their conference during their 2018 season. The Tornadoes are coached by Bill Khayat who took over the program in 2017. Brevard College is located in Brevard, North Carolina.
