Louise Ann Aroney “Nanny,” 85, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2019, at her residence. Louise was born in Johnstown, Pa., to the late Joseph and Jean Bertolasio Pelleschi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Thomas Aroney, and a brother, Charlie Pelleschi.
Louise had been employed as a clerk and was of the Catholic faith. She was an avid baker and loved to cook, in fact, cooking was so important to her, she took great pride in teaching her sons to cook. Louise also enjoyed BINGO, but above all she enjoyed raising her family.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memories include her sons, Michael Aroney and wife Kathy, of Charleston, S.C., and Richard Aroney and fiancée, Jennifer, of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, Kel Rozman and wife Jessica, Madeline Peterson and husband Adam, Antonio Aroney and wife Sarah, Ryan Aroney and wife Stacey and Melissa Aroney; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Sutt, of Johnstown, Pa.; and one brother, George “Slug” Pelleschi, of Johnstown, Pa.
Louise will be laid to rest with her husband, Albert Thomas Aroney, at Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later date. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
