Debbie Hill Norris, 55, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 19, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Christine Hill. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Terry Hill.
Debbie was of the Freewill Baptist Faith and a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She had worked in the public since junior high school. Debbie was a cashier and cook at Wayne and Nancy’s Family Restaurant. She loved to camp and always enjoyed a cup of coffee. Family, friends and her beloved dog, Abby, were very important to her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Danny Norris, of the home; a daughter, Melissia Norris and her boyfriend Bobby Dugger of Elizabethton; a son, Daniel Norris and wife Kambli of Ooltewah, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Cady and Emmy Norris of Ooltewah, Tenn., Tyler, Katlyn and Connor Dugger of Elizabethton; two brothers, Wayne Hill and Ronnie Hill, both of Elizabethton; a sister, Phyllis Odom of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Debbie Hill Norris will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Matthew Norris officiating. Music will be under the direction of Andy and Mandy Williams. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service, or at the residence at other times. A graveside service will be conducted at Treadway Cemetery in Elizabethton, Tenn., on Wednesday, April 24, at 11 a.m. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery at 10:15 a.m. Active pallbearers will be Ben Deloach, Robbie Hill, Daniel Simmons, Paul Liverman, Josh Smith and Sam Miller.
