Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church will have its annual spring fling Saturday from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
The event will feature inflatables, food, games, crafts and an egg hunt, re-scheduled from last weekend due to the weather.
All ages are invited to attend.
Dr. D. Alan King is pastor.
Watauga Point
Watauga Point United Methodist Church will have a yard sale fundraiser Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sims Hill
Revival will be held at Sims Hill Christian Church May 5-8, with services each evening.
The evangelist is Minister Bud Gentry of Dewey Christian Church, Mountain City.
Special singing will be presented at each service. Singing Sunday, May 5, are the Longs from Shady Valley; Tammy Howard from West Side Christian Church, Monday; Sunshine from Sims Hill and East Side Christian, Tuesday; and Jake Jenkins from Valley Forge Christian, Wednesday.
The Sunday service will begin at 6 p.m. and weekday services at 7 p.m.
All are invited. Bret Jones is minister.
Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon, hash brown potatoes, and other items on request.
The cost is $7.
The public is invited to come and enjoy the food and fellowship.
First Presbyterian
Dr. Robert Lowry will preach Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St.
His sermon is titled “Beyond Belief,” with excerpts from Matt. 28: 16-20.
An education hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and yoga, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
The pastor is Dr. Brian Wyatt. The public is invited to attend.
