Gloria Bell “Patty” Greenwell

Gloria Bell “Patty” Greenwell, 73, of Butler, Tenn., passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 18, 1945 to the late Tine and Elsie Guy Greenwell. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Uziel Payne; daughter, Belinda Diane Harmon; son, Brian Payne; sisters, Kathleen Greenwell and Goldie Gregg; and brother, Joe Greenwell.
Patty loved having her family, friends and neighbors around her. She was always willing to take those in need into her home and help them and share what she had with them. Patty loved to cook and enjoyed cooking for others.
Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Melissa Grindstaff and husband Jason; son, Martin Greenwell; sisters, Sue Greenwell Ward, Linda Hatley, Beth Smith and Charlene Clawson; brother, Marty Greenwell; grandchildren, Shannon Potter and husband Chris, Shelby Grindstaff, Madison Grindstaff and Noah Grindstaff; great-grandchildren, Breanna Harmon and Simon Harmon; son-in-law, Ronnie Harmon; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in the Harmon Cemetery, located in the Poga Community of Butler, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 160 Dewey Payne Road, Butler, Tenn.
