Betty Kyker Little

Betty Kyker Little, 84, of Elizabethton, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at her residence following an extended illness.
A native of Telford, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Ada Treadway Kyker.
Mrs. Little was a graduate of Lamar High School and an employee of East Tennessee Undergarment for 42 years. She was an avid sports fan; she loved playing softball and basketball. She was a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wayne Little, who passed away April 21, 2006; four brothers, J.B., Allen, Bud and Bobby Kyker; and three sisters, Wanda Kahn, Eva O’Brien and Ruth Kyker.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Little Jr. and Gina, Elizabethton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Ted Weaver and Darlene and Randy Hardin, all of Elizabethton; six grandchildren, Ryan Weaver and wife Abbey, Trever Weaver and wife Rebekah, Andy Hardin and wife Monica, Josh Hardin and wife Diana, Micah Little and wife Gwen and Maison Little and wife Kelly; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Katlyn, Callie, Trenton and Gracie; two sisters, Patricia Slagle and Leatha Grogg; and her special friends, Carol Brown, Mary Forbes and Charlotte Markland.
A Celebration of Life Service for Betty Kyker Little will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Kenneth Jordan officiating. The eulogy will be given by Rev. Darrell Wayne Slagle Jr. Music will be provided by Ray Don Markland, soloist, and Jon Shell, piper. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Don Markland, Jason “Smitty” Smith, J.L. Baines, Jack Greer and her church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. David Freemon and Staff. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday.
