JOHNSON CITY – The countdown has officially begun as today marks 100 days until the ETSU football team opens its 2019 season at Appalachian State. The Bucs will kick off the season on August 31 at 3:30 p.m. at Kidd Brewer Stadium in Boone, N.C.

As the Blue & Gold anticipate the kickoff of the new campaign, ETSUBucs.com will count down the days by featuring the program’s 15 seniors on the site and via social media platforms throughout the summer months. Using the student-athletes’ jersey numbers for the days until kickoff, redshirt-senior kicker and No. 96 Landon Kunak will be the first player featured on Monday, May 27 as the Bucs reach 96 days until the season opener.

In the meantime, ETSU fans are encouraged to purchase season tickets for the 2019 season. Following the season-opening road game, the Bucs will return to William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium for three consecutive home games against Shorter (Sept. 7), VMI (Sept. 14) and Austin Peay (Sept. 21). The six-game home schedule also features a trio of Southern Conference foes in Wofford (Oct. 5), The Citadel (Nov. 2) and Mercer (Nov. 16).
