A local bank recently opened a new branch in Elizabethton, but the higher-ups are not interested in just informing customers via e-mail of the new location. They want to be as memorable as possible, and what better way to do that than bluegrass and bar-b-que?
Months after the official opening on Broad Street, Carter County Bank’s newest branch is hosting a grand opening celebration this evening, June 13.
Marketing Director Rebecca White said the event is bringing many prominent community members to the ribbon-cutting, including local businesses.
“After the ceremony, we will invite the public in to our new facility for a tour,” White said. “J’s Corner is providing BBQ for our guests and The Roper Sisters will be entertaining with bluegrass beginning at 5:30.”
The event comes after the new branch’s official opening at the end of February. While the building itself and its services have been available since then, workers have been continuing their efforts ever since, bringing in companies like Mills Landscape and Greenhouse.
“We love the new location and believe our customers do as well,” President Andrew McKeehan said. “The traffic flow is better, the extended drive through hours […] and a Community Room where groups can hold meetings, all these aspects create a wonderful experience for our customers.”
Though the bank opened in February with little fanfare, Chief Operating Officer Dale Fair said they wanted the ceremony to reflect the nature of the company itself, even if it did not take place right away.
“We wanted this event to reflect the personality of our company, which is cutting edge, with a strong foundation and love for our community,” Fair said. “We are Carter County’s bank.”
McKeehan said the new branch is indicative of their dedication to the community they have served for decades.
“We have been in this particular location for about 35 years,” he said. “Our customers deserved a modern and enhanced customer experience, and we are excited to provide that now and for the future.”
Fair said they are excited to continue their tradition of serving their customers no matter where they are.
“We are excited to share this space with our customers and community and are proud to continue our commitment to Carter County,” Fair said.
