ETSU football releases home kickoff times Bucs to host three night games in September

JOHNSON CITY – The East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has officially announced kickoff times for its 2019 football home games.

The Buccaneers will host six opponents inside Greene Stadium, including a pair of non-conference opponents beginning with the home opener against Shorter on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

The Blue & Gold will also take the field under the lights as ETSU hosts VMI in its Southern Conference opener on Sept. 14 (7:30 p.m.)

followed by Austin Peay on Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

During the showdown with the Keydets, ETSU Athletics will honor the 50-year reunion of the 1969 Buccaneers that finished 10-0-1 with an Ohio Valley Championship and capped off the season with a victory in the

Grantland Rice Bowl over Terry Bradshaw and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.

The following week against Austin Peay, the Bucs will honor the 2019 ETSU Athletics Hall of Fame.

Following the three nightcaps, the Bucs will play a pair of 3:30 matchups against SoCon foes in Wofford (Oct. 5) and The Citadel on Homecoming on Nov. 2.

ETSU’s final regular-season home game will fall on Saturday,

Nov. 16 when the Bucs take on Mercer at 1 p.m.
