Carl Wayne King, 76, of Wytheville, Va., passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019. He was born in Elizabethton, Tenn., on September 22, 1942 to the late Carl W. and Virginia Jenny Hardin King.
Wayne was a Retired Captain of the National Guard and a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Wytheville. He was a graduate of ETSU. He was retired from Wytheville Community College as a Drafting Professor.
Wayne was preceded in death by his adored wife, Peggy Jo Lyons King.
Survivors include his son, Matthew Kincer of Wytheville; grandmother to Matt and special friend to Wayne, Doris “Gran” Kincer, of Wytheville; and many beloved family and friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Gladesboro Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hillsville, Va., with Rev. Lon Tobin officiating. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.grubbfuneralhome.com
