Beulahdean Barlow Smith

Beulahdean Barlow Smith, 79, of Johnson City, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2019, from her residence. Beulahdean was born in Boone, N.C., to the late Stanley S. Barlow and Orley Jane Gouge Barlow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Smith, and a brother, Forest Barlow.
Beulahdean was retired from Fort Shelby in Bristol, Va. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Those left to cherish her memory include three sons, Dale Andes and wife Melody, David Andes and wife Lisa and Danny Andes, all of Johnson City; her twin sister and best friend, Christine Brown of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Nicky Andes, Andy Andes, Brandon Andes and Ashley Andes; two great-grandchildren, J.C. Andes and Kennedy Andes; a niece, Linda Large; and her beloved dog, Sissy Bird.
A service to celebrate the life of Beulahdean Barlow Smith will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Chaplain Gary Knapp officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from noon until 1:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. The committal and entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum of Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Dale Andes, David Andes, Danny Andes, Brandon Andes, Nicky Andes and J.C. Andes. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
