*As the new school year approaches, the Elizabethton Star Sports Team wants to keep the community aware of events happening throughout the county by providing a sports calendar of events.

–The Cyclone Touchdown Club will be hosting a fundraiser at Pizza Inn on Monday, July 15th from 5 to 9 pm. Ten percent of all sales whether carry out or dine in plus 100 percent of all tips will go to the club to support the EHS football program throughout the upcoming season.

–The Cyclone Touchdown Club is currently taking orders for nameplates to honor former players and parents of former players.

These nameplates will be proudly displayed on a locker in the locker room for years to come to help carry on the long winning tradition of Cyclone Football.

If interested, please send a message with player’s name, number, years played and position to PO Box 1762, Elizabethton, TN 37644.

The cost for the plates are $40 and checks need to be payable to the Cyclone Touchdown Club.
