Linda S. Watson

Linda S. Watson, 66, of Hampton, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019, at her residence.
A native of Big Stone Gap, Va., she was a daughter of the late Elmer F. and Elva Agnes Johnson Stallard. She had lived in Hampton for a number of years.
Linda was a school teacher in Wise County for 25 years and a teacher at Hampton Elementary School for 15 years. She was a member of Hampton Christian Church
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. β€œTom” Watson, who died November 4, 2007.
Survivors include her companion, John B. Smith, and her dogs, Looke and Looil.
Funeral services for Linda S. Watson will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Hampton Christian Church with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by Chaplain Chris Hughes. The graveside service and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 12:20 p.m. Thursday and also at Mountain Home at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, will be John B. Smith, Danny Lunceford, Bob McClain, Lloyd Guinn, Lawson Deil and Bruce Deil. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family. Friends will be received at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the service hour at 12:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
