Jason Loel Markham, 55, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1963 in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Loel was a 1982 graduate of Happy Valley High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Markham and Wanda Smith Markham.
Survivors are his sister and brother-in-law, Della and Mike Campbell; a brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Denices Markham; and several nieces and nephews.
Loel was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved building slot cars for Undervalley Dragway. He enjoyed his time with his downtown Saturday Car Show friends and enjoyed hiking the beautiful mountains of his hometown in Carter County.
Loel expressed that he wanted to donate his body to Restore Life and then be cremated. There are no services planned at this time.
