Reba J. Barnett

Reba J. Barnett, 79, Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
Reba was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ray and Leona Ray; brother, Wayne Ray; and sister, Ermma June Carr.
Reba is survived by two sons, Mitchell Campbell of Johnson City, Tenn., and Gary and wife Regina Barnett of Kingsport, Tenn.; brothers, Jerry and wife Ruby Ray, and Bob and wife Pat Ray, all of Elizabethton, Tenn.; sister, Wava Murphy of Leominster, Mass.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and very special friend for over 50 years, Sue Birchfield.
Reba was a native of Elizabethton, Tenn. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Reba loved to sing and play guitar. Reba sang in a gospel group known as The Faith Trio along with her mom and sister in the ’70s. They sang at local churches throughout the Tri-Cities.
The family is having a Celebration of Reba’s life Thursday, August 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Riverside Community Church, 123 Patterson Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643 with Pastor Benny Wilson officiating and singing by Southern Harmony and Tammie Cole. The family would like to give very special thanks to all of those who touched her life.
