ETSU to host business tax seminar

East Tennessee State University College of Business and Technology will host the 35th annual Tennessee Business Tax Seminar on Thursday, Aug. 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Millennium Center.
Co-sponsored by the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the seminar will bring the latest in-depth information on Tennessee tax issues and tax information available to business owners, CPAs and others. Participants will be able to get answers to tax questions and share solutions with peers. New information, including updates from the 2019 legislative session, will be presented.
Speakers will cover topics such as sales tax, electronic filing, franchise and excise tax, business tax, individual income tax, gift and inheritance tax, unemployment tax and tangible personal property tax.
The cost to attend the Tennessee Business Tax Seminar is $180 and covers lunch and seminar materials.
