Keep Carter County Beautiful (KCCB) received some great news this week from Keep Tennessee Beautiful (KTnB) representative, Edmond McDavis. Founder and Chairman of KCCB, Ed Jordan of Elizabethton, Carter County has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Martin L. Kennedy Award for Outstanding Keep America Beautiful Affiliate Coordinator. Jordan was chosen out of numerous submissions from across the state for the $1,500 grant from Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).

According to KTnB’s Edmond McDavis, it is very rare for an Affiliate Coordinator to receive this honor with such a young organization as KCCB is.

Jordan will receive the award and grant monies at the 2019 TDOT/KTnB Conference featuring an Awards of Excellence Luncheon at the Nashville Airport Marriott on September 17.
