Thomas Gordon Deloach

Thomas Gordon Deloach, 81, MSGT US Air Force Retired, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Thomas Weedman and Norma Ella Waycaster Deloach.
Thomas served 23 years in the United States Air Force, and was one of the first sentry dog trainers. He was also retired from the Budd Company. Thomas was a member of Hampton Masonic Lodge #750 and Hampton First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He loved fishing, animals, family, friends and laughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Weedman Deloach.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Bernice Clawson Deloach; his children, Glynis and Lee Tilley Jr., Maryville, Tenn., Tom and Raquel Deloach, Morgantown, W.Va., Janice and Earl Gentry, Elizabethton, Brenda and David Stamey, Pennington Gap, Va., Virginia and Sandy Bradley, Elizabethton, and Joe and Debbie Guinn, Elizabethton; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and lots of loved nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Thomas Gordon Deloach will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 15, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, S.C. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Thursday, will be Lee Tilley Jr., Earl Gentry, Joe Guinn, Tom Deloach, Earl McKinney and Bobby Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Estep, Randy Miller, Royce Gentry, Sandy Bradley, Andy White, Kayo Gentry and members of the Hampton Masonic Lodge #750. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Deloach to the Disabled America Veterans, 159 Cripple Creek Loop, Watauga, TN 37694.
