Jamey Campbell appointed Chief Operating Officer of Christian Medical & Dental Assoc.

Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) has appointed Jamey Campbell of Elizabethton as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the nation’s largest faith-based association of healthcare professionals headquartered in Bristol, Tenn.

Jamey has more than 25 years of experience in communications and development, serving for the last decade at CMDA as the Vice President for Stewardship Development.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in communication from East Tennessee State University in 1986, Campbell began his career at WJHL-TV before moving into corporate communications and development. Campbell has previously served on staff with former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, MD, East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine and Precept Ministries International.

This promotion allows George Courtney to step into the role of CMDA’s Vice President for Stewardship Development. Courtney completed his bachelor’s degree at Liberty University in church ministries and Christian counseling. For more than 25 years, Courtney has found much joy in helping families as they consider their personal stewardship. George served CMDA earlier in his career as the Director of Development and helping to organize the ministry’s first-ever capital campaign that allowed CMDA to build its current facility in Bristol, Tenn. Before returning to CMDA, George served as the Vice President for Partner Engagement with Medical Benevolence Foundation.

Founded in 1931, CMDA provides programs and services supporting its vision to “transform doctors to transform the world.” CMDA coordinates a network of Christian doctors for personal and professional growth, sponsors student ministries in medical and dental schools, conducts overseas healthcare projects for underserved populations, provides third world missionary doctors with continuing education,  addresses policies on healthcare, medical ethics and bioethical issues, distributes educational and inspirational resources and holds marriage and family conferences.
