BRISTOL–For 160 plus laps in the Food City 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series Cup Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night, it appeared to be heading toward another Rowdy night.
But when Kyle Busch took the flag at the completion of stage 2, it would mark the end of the night as his car broke to end a disappointing night for the one driver who seems to own the Last Great Colosseum allowing Tyler Reddick to make a remarkable comeback overcoming Justin Allgaier in the final 10 laps to take the checkered flag.
Not only was Reddick sent to the back of the field to start the race for multiple inspection failures and unapproved adjustments,  he had to make a pass-through in the pits before he methodically worked his way through the field not once but twice to take the improbable victory.
After Busch’s car gave away, Allgaier zoomed to the front and was leading comfortably before running into lapped traffic and then when it looked like he was the driver to beat with 11 laps remaining, Allgaier’s Brandt Professional Agriculture Chevrolet kissed the wall knocking him out of contention for the win.
Chase Briscoe crossed the finish line in second place while John Hunter Nemechek had a solid Bristol run finishing third. Jeremy Clements, Austin Cindric, Gray Gaulding, Timmy Hill, Allgaier, Michael Annett, and Landon Cassill finished out the top 10.
Other notable finishers were JJ Yeley in 16th, Busch 29th, Joey Logano 36th, and Erik Jones 37th.
For Reddick, it was his seventh career NASCAR Xfinity Series victory.
