Donald Gene Hall

Donald Gene Hall, 86, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Hermitage Health Center.
A native of Berdine, Ky., he was a son of the late James William and Mary Oliver Hall.
Mr. Hall was in the United States Army and served in the Military Police. He was a graduate of Guilford College, Guilford, N.C., and received a Master’s Degree from East Tennessee State University. He was a retired teacher from East Tennessee State University, retiring in 1982. He was an avid reader.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Carl Hall and William Wayne Hall.
Survivors include his children, Audrey (Michael) Blecha, Jonesborough, Donald Eugene (Paula) Hall, Elizabethton, Katherine Hall (Jon Anderson), Milwaukee, Wis., Loralee (Mike) Weinand, Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Jeannine (Derick) McKennon, Waukesha, Wis.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Donald Gene Hall will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, in the Blevins Cemetery. Pallbearers and honors will be provided by Rolling Thunder, Tennessee Chapter 4. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
