CARS AT THE CASTLE… EVENT BENEFITS BRISTOL CHAPTER OF SPEEDWAY CHILDREN’S CHARITIES

BRISTOL – Cars at the Castle, which features a large collection of exotic vehicles on display, returns to Johnson City to support the Bristol chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities.
 
Last held in 2012, Cars at the Castle will take place this Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Castle in Johnson City, located at 191 Degrasse Dr. on Boone Lake just off Hwy 19W.

Over 50 exotic cars, including vehicles from Rick Hill Lexus, Foreign Cars Italia, Foreign Cars Charlotte, Harper’s of Knoxville and more, will be on display during the event, which is sponsored by Tri-Cities Gold Incorporated and JD Squared.

Brands represented in the show include Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Lexus among others.
 
“Cars at the Castle is a one-of-a-kind event that combines the opportunity to see these majestic vehicles at the iconic Castle in Johnson City while also helping raise money for local children in need,” said Claudia Byrd, executive director of SCC-Bristol.

“We’re so thankful to everyone who is playing a role in helping us bring Cars at the Castle back to Johnson City to assist us in our efforts to reach our fundraising goals for the region’s children.”
 
Tickets for the event are $20 for adults and one child 12-and-under is free with the purchase of an adult ticket. Additional kid’s tickets are available for $10 each. To purchase tickets prior to the event, visit http://bit.ly/2LhSuy6.

Tickets are also available at the gate on Saturday. All proceeds from the event benefit SCC-Bristol.

The Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization committed to raising funds for distribution to children’s-based nonprofit organizations, was established in 1997.

Since its inception, the chapter has raised more than $14 million, awarding grants to hundreds of qualified organizations in the 18-county area surrounding Bristol Motor Speedway.

The board of trustees for the Bristol Chapter consists of 18 members, a diverse group of individuals from across the region with wide-ranging backgrounds.

The trustees, two staff members, and more than 300 volunteers are responsible for hosting numerous events at Bristol Motor Speedway and throughout the Bristol (Tennessee/Virginia) community.
