Ticket sales begin Monday for Gabriel Iglesias concert

Public tickets go on sale Sept. 9 for East Tennessee State University’s Student Government Association Fall Major Concert featuring comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, which will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Freedom Hall Civic Center.

Iglesias, whose concert for ETSU is part of his 2019 “Beyond the Fluffy” tour, is one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians. He is one of the most watched comedians on YouTube with over 410 million views and has over 14 million fans across social media. He was also featured in The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 40 Comedy Players of 2018 issue alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels.

Iglesias has starred in the comedy series “Mr. Iglesias” and a number of specials for Netflix, including “One Show Fits All” and “I’m Sorry for What I Said When I Was Hungry.”

In addition, Iglesias has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Stand-Up Revolution” and the two-night special “Gabriel Iglesias: Aloha Fluffy.” His DVD specials “Hot & Fluffy” and “I’m Not Fat … I’m Fluffy” have sold millions of copies.

Among Iglesias’ many film credits are “Magic Mike” and the animated films “Coco,” “Ferdinand,” “The Star,” “Smurfs: The Lost Village,” “The Nut Job” and Disney’s “Planes.” He also starred in the theatrical stand-up concert comedy film, “The Fluffy Movie.”

Advance public tickets are $25 each and will be available online only from Sept. 9-18 at www.etsu.edu/concerts. Any tickets still available will be sold the day of the show at the Freedom Hall box office.

ETSU student, employee and guest tickets remain on sale through Sept. 18. Students may receive one free ticket with ID, and both students and employees may purchase up to four guest tickets for $10 each

Student and employee ticket sales will take place at the Student Activities and Organizations (formerly the SORC) front desk on the second floor of the Wayne G. Basler Center for Physical Activity between 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
