The Fall Used Book Sale is scheduled for September 20 – September 21 at the Parks and Recreation Center, 300 Mill St., Elizabethton. Hours of the sale for the public are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 21. There will be no Sunday sale. There will be an Early Bird Sale on Thursday evening, Sept. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. This is for members only. New members may pay $10 at the door to take advantage of this sale.

If you would like to help with the sale, please meet at the Parks and Rec Center at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, and at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, to help display the books and Sunday, Sept. 22, at 2;30 p.m. to help pack the books for storage. Clean up day will be September 23 at 9 a.m. Due to the large number of books in storage, we can use as much help as we can get for display and packing. You may also sign up for a shift during sale hours. We would greatly appreciate any time you can give us.

We greatly appreciate the community’s response to donations for this sale. All money is donated to the library. For future reference, magazines and out-of-date textbooks are not accepted as they do not sell. Donations will always be accepted at the library or at Parks and Recreation during the sale.
