Health insurance salespeople Larry Treadway and Ida Bryant recently moved their business from Johnson City to Elizabethton. The team had been located in Johnson City for 31 years.

When Treadway first started up he sold insurance for Nationwide, and Bryant was an account representative. However, now she is an agent as well.

Treadway sold his old business and moved into his new office located in prime space on Elk Avenue.

Treadway and Bryant deal and sell exclusively Medicare, and instruct people new to the insurance for older persons. They have resources to refer people who are looking for non-Medicare insurance in place.

Both of them claim they chose Elizabethton for many reasons. One of which included that they both lived here or near here. Treadway is from the city, while Bryant resided in the Milligan College area.

Another reason is that the bulk of their clients are from this area as well.

“We had some come as far as Butler to see us where we were at,” said Bryant. The team agreed that it just made good sense to relocate here.

They said they had looked into moving to Elizabethton before, but could not find a suitable location.

Elizabethton is a good place to open a business, they said. The people are friendly, and currently, there is not a huge amount of businesses that focus on one kind of health insurance like they do.

An open house is planned for October 1.

“We welcome all customers and friends to stop by, we can go over the changes to your plan for 2020. We also welcome anyone new to Medicare.”
