Cyclone linksters take on the Cattails

KINGSPORT- The Elizabethton Cyclone boys golf team hasn’t shied away from any competition on the links this season and as the regular season winds down with district and regional play on the horizon, the Cyclones are taking on all teams and courses as they prepare for the upcoming districts.
 
On Thursday, the team traveled to Kingsport to the Meadowview Cattails Golf Course to participate in a three-way match with Kingsport and Science Hill. And even though the results were not what the team hoped for, the experience once again was invaluable.
 
Science Hill took the match with a team-total 143 followed by the Indians who were four strokes off the pace with a team round of 147. 
 
The Cyclones, meanwhile, closed out the round with a team-total 165.
 
Ross Boehling of Science Hill took medalist honors firing a terrific round of 33 on the day. The ‘Toppers Tarun Hoskere along with Indian golfers William Karst and Zac Fletcher followed by recording rounds of 35.
 
For Elizabethton, Carson Peters led the Cyclones with a round of 38 while Cooper Tipton was one stroke off with a 39.
