Basketball
The Carter County Sports Hall of Fame will host a Christmas middle school basketball tournament beginning on December 26 for boys and girls, Varsity and Jr. varsity teams. For more information call Charles at 423-470-9248 or email peters5@charter.net.
Softball
The Hampton softball team will be having a pancake breakfast on Saturday, October 19th from 8 to 10 am at Applebee’s. This is a fundraising event to help construct a press box and bathroom facilities at the Hampton High School softball field. Everyone is welcome.
Youth Club
The Hampton Youth Club is having it’s first annual Car Show and Vendor Market on Saturday, October 26th from 5 to 9 pm at JC Campbell Stadium in Hampton. There will be 1st-3rd place show trophies for cars and motorcycles, Halloween Trunk or Treat for kids, craft vendors, food concessions, and much more.
Craft/food vendors that would like to participate or for anyone wanting to enter a car or motorcycle into the Car Show, please contact Clarissa Parlier at 423-609-0701 or Kayla Turbyfill at 423-330-4088. You can also reach the two contacts on their Facebook pages.
All proceeds will go to benefit the youth of the community by purchasing sports equipment and uniforms for the upcoming basketball and cheerleading seasons as well as football.
