Roc Collins, featured speaker at Watauga Baptist fall meeting

The 151st fall meeting of the Watauga Association of Baptist will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
The theme of the meeting is “Gospel Above All.”
The guest speaker is Roc Collins, Tenn. Baptist Mission Board Evangelism Specialist.
Collins is a former president of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and served as senior pastor of Indian Springs Baptist Church in Kingsport for 11 years. Collins is a graduate of Carson-Newman University, Jefferson City, and holds the master of divinity and doctor of philosophy degrees from New Orleans (La.) Baptist Theological Seminary.
In addition to Indian Springs, Collins has served as pastor of Briar Thicket Baptist Church in Bybee, Tenn.; First Baptist Church, Gate City, Va.; Memorial Baptist Church, Bogalusa, La.; and Berwick Baptist Church, Liberty, Miss. He also served as staff evangelist of two churches in Mississippi and Louisiana.
Following the meeting, dinner will be served.
