- Donation to Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes Bluff City Post No. 9629 Veterans of Foreign Wars recently sold its property and has donated the proceeds to a number of groups in the area, among them the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes Inc. Wade Rumley, Post Commander, is pictured presenting a check for $20,000 to the Rittertown Baptist Church for the children's homes. Also pictured are Brad and Vanessa Sams of Elizabethton, who are serving as houseparents at the TBCH, Brentwood campus, John Scott, Tenn. VFW Dept. Adjutant/Quartermaster; Tom Little of Rittertown Baptist, Alfred Jim Irving, Tenn. VFW Judge Advocate, and Kelly Greene, Commander of the Carter County Honor Guard.
