Tom Donohoe named University Registrar

JOHNSON CITY — Dr. Thomas N. Donohoe has been selected as the new University Registrar at East Tennessee State University following the recent retirement of Sheryl Burnette.

Donohoe has been Associate Registrar at ETSU for the past nine years, during which he managed and participated in many aspects of the day-to-day and seasonal operations of the Office of the Registrar, including registration, student records, end-of-term processing, and more. He brings to his role a strong knowledge of BANNER and other systems and software, as well as the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).

Before coming to ETSU, Donohoe worked in software development and spent three years as chief technical officer for Pinnacle Communications, Jacksonville. The U.S. Army veteran serves as chair of ETSU’s Veterans Affairs Standing Committee and president-elect of the Tennessee Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

He earned his associate degree in liberal arts at Florida Community College at Jacksonville, his B.A. in psychology from Columbia College, and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in psychology from Capella University.
