Moving on up… Elizabethton ascends to No. 1, Hampton moves in at No. 9

 For the first time since 1999, the Elizabethton Cyclones are the No. 1 ranked team in the latest AP Prep Poll released Monday coming on the heels of the Cyclones 24-21 win over previous No. 1 Greeneville.
The Cyclones are trying to go a perfect 10-0 in the regular season which will be a feat matched only by the 1951 Cyclone team. 
Meanwhile, the Hampton Bulldogs slide into the polls in Class 2-A at number nine right behind the team they handed their first loss to Friday in the South Greene Rebels. The Happy Valley Warriors who were No. 9 last week fell out of the polls after being defeated by Sullivan North also on Friday.
