Staying at the head of the class… Cyclones remain No. 1 despite close call against South

After a close call in their last contest against South winning only 14-13, the Elizabethton Cyclones maintained the top spot in Division 1 – Class 4A taking 16 first-place votes in this week.
 
The Hampton Bulldogs continued to play inspired football and as a result, they stayed at No. 9 in Division 1 – Class 2A while South Greene came in two spots above the Bulldogs at No. 7. in Class 2A.
Other Northeast Tennessee teams maintaining a spot in the polls include Dobyns-Bennett, Greeneville, and Tennessee High.
Here is the look at this week’s poll as voted on by Tennessee AP-member sportswriters and broadcasters.
