Weather causes hazardous driving on Halloween

With a fast-moving weather front moving through the area on Thursday that brought tornado warnings and watches to the area, Carter County received its fair share of heavy rain and wind but was spared any significant severe storms.

With many out for Halloween, the rain caused a standstill on Siam Road when a car hydroplaned during heavy rain and winds and the driver found himself without much of a treat as a tow truck had to be called to extract the vehicle from the ditch.
The accident held up traffic on both lanes of Siam Road while the car was being pulled out of the mess it was in.
