The Church Hill Lady Panthers came to T.A. Dugger on Monday evening looking to sink their claws into the Jr. Lady Cyclone JV team but didn’t realize that TAD had a panther killer on their team.

Andrea Flores came out with guns blazing in the first quarter scoring 12 of her game-high 20 points to lead the Jr. Lady Cyclones to the 33-15 victory.

Flores did most of her damage from about eight to ten feet from the basket while her Jr. Lady Cyclone teammates were putting intense defensive pressure on their visitors from Church Hill.

The game wasn’t as close as it seemed at the break as TAD was up 19-11 as the Jr. Lady Panthers managed to get a couple of easy buckets that trimmed the TAD lead.

Things changed drastically in the second half as Coach Melenda Perry had her team charged up coming out of the locker room.

The Jr. Lady Cyclones threw a snare around the Lady Panthers defensively shutting them down in the third period holding the visitors to zero points while putting 12 on their side to effectively put the game on ice.

Aubrey Cole contributed five points in the win hitting a trey and a deuce in the third quarter.

Lillie McDuffie and totaled four points while Jamira Smalls and Hannah Hodge finished with two points for the winners.

Addyson Fisher scored five points to lead Church Hill while Bre Dykes, Emilee Mailloux, Terrilyn Calhoun, and Zetta Smith chipped in with two points apiece in the loss.
