Howling on the Hill… Jr. Bulldogs run wild against Happy Valley, 46-25

The season is young but right now no one wants anything to do with the Hampton Jr. Bulldogs as the ‘Dogs continue to rip their opponents by double-figure wins.

A statement is being made that the Jr. Bulldogs have their sights set on returning back to the state championship for middle schools as the Jr. ‘Dogs were howling loud on Warrior Hill Monday night winning 46-25.

Hampton broke out front 20-5 at the end of the first quarter and led 33-9 at the break.

The Jr. Dogs put the game away in the third outscoring Happy Valley 11-5 to go into the final period leading by 30 points, 44-14.

Dylan Trivett led all Jr. ‘Dogs in scoring with 16 points on the night. Trivett also pulled down five rebounds, dealt out two assists, and made two steals.

Geno Carrico also had a big night offensively playing string music to the tune of 14 points hitting on 6-of-10 field goals.

Carrico reeled in six boards and added three assists and four steals.

Michael Anspaugh contributed with eight points for Hampton while post player Hayden Campbell netted six points. Elijah McKinney closed out the scoring with two points for the Jr. ‘Dogs.

Joseph Sowards paced the Jr. Warriors with eight points in the contest. Tucker Shoun and Austin Nickels dropped in five points apiece in a losing cause for Happy Valley.

The Jr. Lady Bulldogs won their contest narrowly over Happy Valley to make it a sweep in varsity action for Hampton taking the win 28-21.

Taylor Berry was a one-lady wrecking crew for the Jr. Lady Bulldogs hitting for 16 points in the contest.

Piper Helle and Macy Henry scored seven and five points respectively to tally out the score sheet for Hampton.
