MILLIGAN COLLEGE — CMC Live will present 10 musical artists in a thrilling concert at Milligan College on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the college’s McGlothlin-Street Theatre located in the Gregory Center. The concert is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Nashville’s Contemporary Music Center (CMC) is a semester-long, 16-credit hour program that prepares students for careers in the entertainment industry while living out their faith as Christ-followers. CMC brings college students interested in working as artists, music techs and in business to Nashville, to gain real-world experience from faculty who are active in the music industry. At the culmination of the semester, the students travel on a road tour as their final exam.
“We’re excited to welcome CMC Live to Milligan’s campus for their 37th season of shows,” said Jim Dahlman, area chair of Milligan’s performing, visual and communicative arts. “This program allows college students to be at the forefront of music innovation and development. The quality of their performers and the production always amazes audiences.”
The 10 different artists will perform a variety of styles of music. From Southern rock to soul, these songs offer a broad spectrum of music crafted to modern listeners.
