WALTER HILL (AP) — A Tennessee principal and special education teacher are accused of dragging a 10-year-old boy through a school hallway by his feet, leaving him with head injuries.
News outlets report Walter Hill Elementary Principal Helen Campbell and teacher Bonnie Marlar were arrested Saturday on child abuse and endangerment charges. Rutherford County sheriff’s records say the dragging was captured on surveillance video and Campbell has acknowledged helping Marlar pull the boy through the school. It’s unclear who reported the abuse.
Assistant Principal Laura Heath was named the school’s interim president on Monday.
