With basketball season around the corner, the annual Big 7 – Three Rivers Conference boy’s jamboree was held Thursday night inside the Dyer Dome on the campus of Sullivan East.
It was an opportunity to put on the uniforms and get under the lights for a little hoops action as Big 7 schools Science Hill, Cherokee, Volunteer, Dobyns-Bennett, Tennessee High, Daniel Boone, and David Crockett pair off with the Three Rivers Conference schools in Sullivan South, Sullivan Central, Happy Valley, Elizabethton. Johnson County, Unicoi County, and Sullivan East.
While the games didn’t count toward anything, it’s difficult to tell young men that as the games were played with a lot of hustle and passion to show off just what each team will be bringing to the courts this season.
Earlier in the week, the girls were supposed to also have their jamboree but due to the snow, Cherokee called off the jamboree and it will not be made up.
Here are a few photos from the action Thursday from Sullivan East.
