Elizabethton City Schools go into a soft lockdown

According to information from Elizabethton City Schools Public Relations Coordinator Nicole Moore, the Elizabethton City Schools have gone into soft lockdown.
According to Moore, “There is no threat involving any of the schools. This action is purely precautionary based on reports involving another school district in the Tri-Cities area.
“Dismissal will occur at regularly scheduled times. Once again, there is no threat involving the Elizabethton City Schools. The action is merely precautionary.”
