With one of the biggest games in the state set to play out in 24 hours, there are some things that fans coming to the Elizabethton and Greeneville game need to be made aware of.

Gates

Gates will open at 5:30 pm for the contest. Once again, with the large crowd expected, the earlier that one can arrive – the better in the event you do not have reserved seating.

Tickets

All tickets are $8 for the contest. Season ticket holders will be able to sit in their seats from the regular season BUT must buy a ticket as everyone is required to do so for admission to the game including teachers.

Also, reserved parking passes will be honored for the game.

Once again this week, fans can skip by the ticket booth by simply purchasing tickets online at GoFan and selecting Elizabethton.

By doing so, standing in a long line at the ticket booth can be bypassed.

Bag Inspection

All bags that are brought into the stadium will be searched before entry by Axis Security.

This is being done for the safety of all fans that are coming to take in the contest.

Color of the night

Coach Shawn Witten is encouraging all of the community and Cyclone Nation to come decked out in orange to show support for the Elizabethton Cyclones.

Shuttle service

With a big crowd expected, shuttle service will once again be provided beginning at 5:30 pm.

There will be a shuttle pick up at the Big Lots parking lot as well as a bus will be circling the perimeter of Elizabethton High School including the areas of Beef O’Brady and the Nave Center.

Once the game is completed the shuttles will be running one hour after the game to take fans back to their vehicles.

The buses will be picking up at the crosswalk near the Dairy Queen.

Weather

As of Thursday, the weather forecast for game time is an 80 percent chance of showers but temperatures will be 18 degrees warmer than in the last two weeks of playoffs with expected low temperatures in the mid to upper 40’s.

Fans are encouraged to come prepared in the event of inclement weather.

While umbrellas aren’t banned from the stadium, to provide better viewing for fans around you a poncho or rain gear is encouraged.

Game notes

This game is the second meeting of the year between the two teams with Elizabethton earning a hard-fought win in the first meeting, 24-21.

The winner of this contest advances to the BlueCross Bowl semifinal contest next week against the winner of the Nolensville and DeKalb County game being played Friday night as well.

Should the Cyclones win their rematch with Greeneville, the game will be played at Citizens Bank Stadium next Friday night at 7 pm.

Elizabethton currently is 12-0 on the season matching the most wins ever for a Cyclone football team.

With a victory, the Cyclones would add another milestone to the current legacy they are building being the first team to win 13 games in a season.

Greenville is coming into this week’s game after defeating Anderson County 24-7 in last week’s second-round play.

The Greene Devils are the current defending state champions from 2018 in Class 4A.
